Time to dedicate our activities on the weekend to enhance Bubu's experience of real life vehicles and movement. We have tons of ideas you can explore too, no matter where you live.

In the recent few months, my lil boy has become obsessed with vehicles of any type. How quickly time changes, he hardly liked it a while back and now the first word in the morning after "Mumma" is "truck". For a couple of weeks, all other toys are completely ignored and Bubu's whole day progresses with tons of play with the handful toy-cars we own. Bubu pretends some car is a motorcycle or jeep and sometime our cars fly as they are pretend planes and helicopters. Basically, he is immersed in loads of movement schema.

So I felt it's a perfect time to dedicate our activities on the weekend to enhance Bubu's experience of real life vehicles and movement. We started with Trains. Where we live in the Bay Area, we have tons of trains to choose from:- Bart, Caltrain, Niles Canyon Railway and Roaring Camp Railroads. We started with Niles Canyon Railway, it's a living history museum interpreting the importance of heritage railroads in the development of California and the nation. The Pacific Locomotive Association also has railroad artifacts on display and interpretive educational exhibits at the Sunol Depot.

Bubu definitely understood the experience. I say that because after his afternoon nap he was pretending one of the car was a train, and the word train and pretend play around it has become a part of our everyday life. Isn't that a very easy adventure to add to your next weekend. Just book tickets for a local-roundtrip-train-ride with your lil explorer and enjoy the magic of simple life. I think it's a great experience to share if you have a toddler obsessed with vehicles or the movement schema. I am sure it's going to be as memorable as ours.

Stay tuned for our other "Vehicle Adventures" that will follow soon. We have tons of ideas you can explore too, no matter where you live.
