Christmas lights adventure for the cold nights.
I don't know if it's just me, but the winter this year is so cold. East coast guys might laugh but for me this feels like a nightmare getting in and out of the home. To top it, if your Bubu is like mine who manages to get a runny nose if out for couple of minutes, even though he has 2 layers of clothes + super warm coat + beanie and hoodie that cover the ears, than I totally understand your state. I really want to show him lights 1) coz he is so excited and 2) coz I am excited to show him the Christmas lights:) Los Gatos Fantasy of Lights We went a little early this year in the first week of December. Last time we went closer to 25th Dec and we had to wait in line to get in the park for 45 mins. It was a smooth entry into the park. Just remember you do have to buy tickets/car in advance. They give you fun goggles to see the lights that refract some holiday images when you view the twinkling display through them. It's a great activity for older kids. Kids can ride without seat belts and even stand if you have the sunroof in your car. Our Bubu was so excited to be out into my lap a good change from being stranded in a car seat. Of course it was a struggle putting him back in at the end. He really enjoyed every bit of the ride, he looked on both sides, enacted what the characters in the display did, pointed out so we wouldn't miss some display he was viewing and at times totally ignored me as he was busy looking at the display.
I was very satisfied with our visit. This is exactly my version of Christmas. Celebrating the Christmas spirit by appreciating the efforts people take in decorating at individual and commercial level. This was one of the first display we have visited (and my husbands favorite display) and through the month we will try to cover all "our favorite displays".
