It does cover almost everything, but no wow-factor.

So we were really looking forward to this adventure with Bubu as it was his first time seeing a fish swim. How exciting!

One lazy Saturday we decided to go to San Francisco and check out the Aquarium at the Pier. Before Bubu, as a couple we had visited the Monterey Bay Aquarium, just for kicks as we love animals ... we are a little nerdy like that! So we were really looking forward to this adventure with Bubu as it was his first time seeing a fish swim. How exciting!

The price is high-ish $27/person. If you have a Oakland Zoo membership you get 50% off and if you are local you get 20% off. The two discounts cannot be clubbed.

My honest review is, it was small and no-wow-factor. It does cover almost everything:- small colored fishes, larger shark and tuna kinds, turtles, jelly fishes, the sting rays and even 2 very lively otters. But it was a little too overpriced for what you get.

Bubu showed some excitement looking at the colored ones at the start. However later he was sleepy, as it was almost his nap time. He didn't look very impressed. He does love animals since he turned 1 so I was expecting him to be really excited! We will try the Monterey Bay Aquarium next time and see if he likes that.

I feel Monterey Aquarium is definitely awesome, even more awesome than the San Diego Aquarium! But I will reserve my detailed review on it for a later date when Bubu visits it for the first time maybe!
